1 Getting Started
How do I get started with RollRemit?
Download the RollRemit app from Google Play, or visit our website and click "Get Started". Create your free account using your email address and a secure password, complete the quick KYC identity verification, and you can begin sending money or paying for services within minutes. The whole process takes under five minutes.
Is RollRemit available in my country?
RollRemit currently serves users in Canada sending money to Nigeria. We are actively expanding to more corridors. If you are based elsewhere and want to be notified when we launch in your region, contact our support team and we will add you to our waitlist.
What do I need to register?
You need a valid email address, a phone number, and a government-issued ID for KYC verification (such as a passport, driver's licence, or national ID). You must be at least 18 years old. Once registered, you can access basic services immediately and unlock higher transaction limits after completing full verification.
Is there a referral programme?
Yes. RollRemit has a referral programme that rewards you for inviting friends. When someone signs up using your referral link and completes their first successful transfer, you both earn a reward. You can find your referral link inside your account dashboard.
2 Transfers & Rates
What is the exchange rate for CAD to NGN?
RollRemit provides competitive, real-time exchange rates that are updated every minute. The live rate is displayed on the transfer calculator before you confirm any transaction — so you always know exactly what your recipient will receive. There are no hidden markups on the rate.
How long does a money transfer take?
The vast majority of transfers to Nigerian bank accounts are delivered instantly or within a few minutes of confirmation. In rare cases — typically involving additional compliance checks or bank processing delays — delivery may take up to a few hours. You will receive a notification as soon as funds land.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. RollRemit operates on a zero hidden fees policy. All applicable transfer fees and the exact amount your recipient will receive are shown clearly on the confirmation screen before you authorise the transaction. What you see is exactly what you and your recipient get.
Can I cancel or reverse a transfer?
Confirmed transactions are processed immediately and cannot be reversed once sent. This is why we strongly encourage you to review all recipient details — name, bank account number, and amount — carefully before pressing confirm. If you believe you made an error, contact our support team immediately at hello@rollremit.com and we will investigate as quickly as possible.
What are the transfer limits?
Transfer limits depend on your KYC verification level. Basic accounts have lower daily and monthly limits. Completing full identity verification — including government ID, proof of address, and selfie verification — unlocks significantly higher limits. Contact support to learn about the specific limits applicable to your account tier.
3 Security
Is my money safe with RollRemit?
Yes. Every transaction on RollRemit is protected by 256-bit TLS encryption — the same standard used by major banks worldwide. We also require two-factor authentication (2FA) and run real-time automated fraud monitoring on all activity. Your funds and personal data are always in safe hands.
What is two-factor authentication (2FA) and do I need it?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one-time passcode (OTP) in addition to your password when you log in or authorise a transaction. It is enabled on all sensitive actions by default and cannot be disabled, ensuring your account remains secure even if your password is ever compromised.
What should I do if I suspect unauthorised activity?
If you notice any suspicious activity on your account, contact our support team immediately at hello@rollremit.com or call +234 803 978 1363. Do not share your PIN, OTP, or password with anyone — including people claiming to be RollRemit staff. We will never ask for your password via any channel. You can also change your password immediately from your account settings.
How does RollRemit protect my personal data?
Your personal data is stored and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. We use encryption at rest and in transit, restrict access to your data to authorised personnel only, and never sell your data to third parties. You can review our full Privacy Policy on our website.
4 Services
What services can I pay for besides money transfers?
RollRemit supports a wide range of value-added services: airtime top-ups for all Nigerian networks (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9Mobile), mobile data bundles, electricity bill payments (PHCN and others), cable TV subscriptions (DSTV, GOtv, Startimes), education and tuition fee payments to Canadian institutions, betting wallet funding, and crypto-to-NGN deposits. All from one platform.
How do I pay for cable TV (DSTV, GOtv, Startimes)?
Log in to your RollRemit account, navigate to the Bill Payments section, select Cable TV, choose your provider (DSTV, GOtv, or Startimes), enter the decoder or smartcard number, select the subscription package, and confirm. Payment is processed immediately and your subscription is renewed within seconds.
Can I pay tuition fees and educational expenses?
Yes. RollRemit allows you to settle tuition fees, application deposits, and other educational expenses to institutions in Canada with ease. This is one of our most popular services for Nigerian students and their families. Contact support to get the full list of supported institutions and instructions.
How does the crypto-to-NGN deposit feature work?
You can deposit supported cryptocurrencies to your dedicated RollRemit wallet address. Once the blockchain transaction confirms, the equivalent amount in Nigerian Naira (NGN) is credited to your RollRemit balance instantly — with no friction and no delays. You can then use that balance for transfers, bill payments, or any other service on the platform.
5 Account & KYC
Why do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?
KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is a legal requirement under financial regulations. It helps us confirm your identity, prevent fraud and money laundering, and ensure our platform is not misused. It also protects you — a verified account is far more difficult for fraudsters to compromise or exploit.
What documents do I need for KYC verification?
You will need a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's licence, or national identity card), a phone number for OTP verification, proof of residential address, and a selfie or live photo for biometric matching. All documents must be current and clearly legible.
How do I access my mobile wallet?
Your RollRemit wallet is accessible directly from your account dashboard on the app or website. Once logged in, you can view your balance, add funds, make transfers, pay for services, and review your full transaction history — all in one place.
How do I close my account?
You may close your account at any time by contacting our support team at hello@rollremit.com. Before closing, ensure your wallet balance is zero and there are no pending transactions. We may be required by law to retain certain records for a period after account closure in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6 Wallet & Fees
What fees does RollRemit charge?
RollRemit may charge transfer fees, withdrawal fees, currency conversion charges, and service fees depending on the transaction type. All fees are clearly displayed on the transaction confirmation screen before you approve. There are absolutely no hidden charges — your quoted amount is your final amount.
How do I add funds to my wallet?
You can fund your RollRemit wallet via bank transfer, card payment, or by depositing supported cryptocurrencies to your dedicated wallet address. Crypto deposits are converted to NGN and credited to your balance instantly. Other funding methods typically reflect within a few minutes.
Is there a minimum or maximum transfer amount?
Yes, minimum and maximum transfer amounts apply and vary by service type and your account verification level. Minimum amounts are set to ensure transaction viability, while maximum limits are governed by regulatory requirements. Completing full KYC verification increases your limits significantly. See the live calculator on our homepage for current limits.
7 Mobile App
Where can I download the RollRemit app?
The RollRemit app is available now on Android via the Google Play Store. An iOS version for iPhone and iPad is currently in development and coming soon. In the meantime, all features are fully accessible via our mobile-optimised website at any browser on iOS.
Does the app work on both Android and iOS?
The native app is currently Android-only (Google Play). iOS support is coming soon. Until the iOS app launches, iPhone and iPad users can access the full RollRemit platform through their mobile browser — the website is designed to be fully responsive and mobile-first.
What can I do on the mobile app?
Everything. The RollRemit mobile app gives you full access to your wallet, money transfers, airtime and data purchases, bill payments, cable TV subscriptions, transaction history, KYC verification, referral programme, and 24/7 support — all from your phone. It is designed as a mobile-first platform, so the app experience is the best way to use RollRemit.
